Sainsbury’s sends urgent update to customers over bogus credit card charges

Sainsbury’s shoppers who have one of the supermarket’s credit cards are urged to check their statements for erroneous charges.

A number of Sainsbury’s Bank customers have been wrongly charged money they do not owe.

On January 2, some bank customers had £12 accidentally withdrawn from their accounts.

This is because the bank wrongly charged late payment fees to customers because reported by Gloucester Live.

Sainsbury’s has since apologized for the error and said it was “investigating” the issue.

“We’re sorry for the inconvenience and are automatically refunding customers to fix it.”

However, according to MoneySavingExpert.com, one user said Sainsbury’s Bank told them they would only refund customers who contacted the bank first, so it’s important to check your statements.
